Ease, comfort and stability. Do you have it all....x

Assalaamu alaykum,

I am just going through my old emails trying to catch up and update you all on our past projects. JazakAllah Khair for your kind donations! This is not possible without Allah's Mercy and Barakah, so All Praise belongs to Him.

When the devastating floods hit Pakistan in 2011 it tore apart communities, housing and stability. We were fortunate, with outside donations to raise £800 for a house build in Pakistan.
Imagine, your whole life washed away in seconds, you are left with no home, no possessions and not knowing where you and your family will live from then on.

As part of the Ummah at the very least we can donate enough to provide one family a roof over their heads, give them some comfort in the knowledge that they have shelter, warmth and safety.

With your £4 a month this is made possible with the permission of Allah.

Our lives, in comparison to some is a complete luxury. We may think we have it hard Subhan'Allah but looking at the lives of others who do not have the same opportunity for help and support that we do should make us really feel grateful to Allah for all that He has given us.

Are you able to open your front door and enter a warm, comfortable home, open your fridge and always have enough to eat for the week/s ahead.
Turn on your flat screen TV, satalite, dvd player or computer. All these things are materialistic but we take so much for granted.

Our health alone is a blessing, our families and our wealth.
Tv's and computers come and go, but imagine your Mother, Father or child being washed away in the tide, how then would you cope, knowing that you also have no home to return to.
We are no longer collecting donations for this project, it is merely an example of how for your £4 a month can help.
£1 a week Subhan'Allah is all it will cost you. With the correct intention, this £1 could be all you need to tip your scales on a day when you will wish you had given so much more.
Think and reflect about where your life is heading. Giving sadaqa is a means of purification for us.

57:7

Believe in Allah and His Messenger and spend out of that in which He has made you successors. For those who have believed among you and spent, there will be a great reward. 57:7

57:10

And why do you not spend in the cause of Allah while to Allah belongs the heritage of the heavens and the earth? Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward]. And Allah , with what you do, is Acquainted. 57:10

Need I say more except, Alhamdulillah for All of the blessings that He has bestowed on all of us whether we see it now or in the next life.
May he accept our humble efforts for His sake and should you join us or not then please remember us all in your sincere duas.

Fi aman Illah.

Are you looking forward to fancy foods during Ramadhan?

Update 26-07-2012

Alhamdulillah this is another family receiving a Ramadhan Food Pack from your donations.

As you can see, the brother has had a leg amputated and the family are living in poverty. Please continue to give fi sabilIllah so that we can help this family on a regular basis Insha'Allah.

Jazaki'Allahu Khairan to you all

Update 17th July 2012.

Masha'Allah Tabarak'Allah we distributed our first ever Ramadhan food packs to families in Morocco this week. I have added just a few photos but there will be more to show just exactly how your donations can benefit so many Subhan'Allah. This one family alone were amazed and happy and the children were running to pick up the bags. The whole family is making dua for us all, imagine how such a small gesture can go so far and I ask Allah to accept it from all of us, and may it be a purification for us and a means for us all to enter Jannah Firdous. Ameen. I will post more pictures once the other packs are distributed Insha'Allah

Zaid ibn Khalid Juhni related that the Prophet said: He who provides for the breaking of the Siyam of another person earns the same merit as the one who was observing Siyam diminishing in any way the reward of the latter (Tirmidhi)...

Update 4th June 2012.

Alhamdulillah we now have enough for 4 Ramadhan Food Packs.
Our aim is only 8 at the moment so please give whatever your able, to give families in Morocco even the basic of foods to break their fast.

When donating to this project please add  the code RFP to ensure your funds are used for the correct purpose.

Jazak'Allahu khairan.

All praise belongs to Allah (SWT) who gives us the permission to do what we do for His sake.

Is food the first thing you think about when reminded of Ramadhan?
Then you need to renew your intention.

Some people do not even have basic foods to break their fast with, let alone extravagant meals.

Do you spend hours in the kitchen, preparing food you would not even consider cook at any other time of the year, only to then throw it away because our stomachs can only handle a little food after fasting anyway Subhan'Allah.
Preparation for this blessed month shouldn't be about which ingredients to buy and what yummy food to break your fast with. Ramadan should be about learning self control, patience and sacrifice for the sake of Allah; giving up sins and repenting to you Lord. Allah only  knows if we will even make it to the next Ramadan. Insha'Allah we should purify our intentions and start preparing our minds, bodies and hearts; so that we can make the best of the this blessed month!

2:183

O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous -2:183

As we all know, it is obligatory for every able person to fast the month of Ramadhan but, for some, their whole life is like Ramadhan. Not knowing when there next meal will be is a regular day for some.

We at Al-Huriyah Sadaqa are passionate about helping those in need.
That's why we have decided to do a Ramadhan food pack campaign.

We will be buying and distributing small food packs during Ramadhan bi ihdnIllah.

Please give whatever you are able so that we can bring a smile and some comfort to a family that would normally be worrying endlessly about where their next meal will come from.

The food packs will contain  dates for breaking of fast:

Zaid ibn Khalid Juhni related that the Prophet said: He who provides for the breaking of the Siyam of another person earns the same merit as the one who was observing Siyam diminishing in any way the reward of the latter (Tirmidhi)...

Flour, for making bread, cake etc

Oil for cooking

Some sort of tinned fish or meat

A bag of Moroccan cakes

A siwaak and a small dua book fi sabil Illah

As you can see, the above food pack is essential items needed for a person to break fast and make the simplest of foods. Making a cake from the flour etc will probably be the nearest they will get to having a yummy something. There are many muslims who are not in a position to walk down the aisles of their local supermarket, drooling at all the goodies and dreaming of what to break fast with.
In the end, and most of us have been guilty of this at some point, we end up over indulging until our tummies feel bloated because we were following our desires, not our basic need.

Our Sadaqa for the end of next month will be sent to Morocco ahead of Ramadhan to help prepare these much needed packs.
They will be distributed to those who have no access to such foods and/or have a basic need for them.

We do have a small amount of funds available for some packs but are in need of your donations to make this possible throughout the month of Ramadhan, not just the first few days.
Please give whatever your able fi sabil Illah.

Should we have funds available at the end of Ramadhan we will then buy a small Eid package for each family, eg:sweets/cakes etc.

Abu Huraira related that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever fasts during Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven. Whoever prays during the nights in Ramadan with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven. And he who passes Lailat al-Qadr in prayer with faith and seeking his reward from Allah will have his past sins forgiven (Bukhari, Muslim).

Abu Huraira related that the Prophet said: Allah the Majestic and Exalted said: "Every deed of man will receive ten to 700 times reward, except Siyam (fasting), for it is for Me and I shall reward it (as I like). There are two occasions of joy for one who fasts: one when he breaks the fast and the other when he will meet his Lord" (Muslim).

Don't wait until Ramadhan to do a good deed, do it now while your still able.

Click on donate to give for Allah's sake.

Jazaki'Allahu Khairan for your continued support fi sabil Illah
