Are you alone....Think again...x

What are the first words you utter every morning?
Is it Alhamdulillah or is it, I need to wash the windows today.
Do you want to be successful in this life and the next?
Then maybe you need to take a look at your life and make some changes.

Do you constantly remember  Allah (SWT) or are you too busy worrying about duniyah matters? We have become such a self obsessed nation that we are slowing moving away from the deen without even realising.
Allah (SWT) has truly blessed us with this beautiful deen of His but are we grateful. Do with give back to Him what we owe?
On this beautiful day of Jummah, remember...

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) mentioned Friday and said: “On this day there is an hour when no Muslim slave stands and prays and asks Allaah for something, but Allaah will give it to him,” and he gestured with his hand to indicate that whatever he asks fo , is as nothing to Allaah. (Narrated by al-Bukhaari)

Dua is the weapon of the believer, it can remove you from many, many difficulties.
When you feel low or anxious then remember Allah fist and foremost and repeat the following dua:

Allaahumma 'innee 'a'oothu bika minal-hammi walhazani, wal'ajzi walkasali, walbukhli waljubni, wa dhala'id-dayni wa ghalabatir-rijaal .
O Allah , I seek refuge in you from grief and sadness, from weakness and from laziness, from miserliness and from cowardice, from being overcome by debt and overpowered by men (i .e . others).
Reference: Al-Bukhari 7/158. See also Al-Asqalani, Fathul-Bari 11/173.

Laa 'ilaaha 'illallaahul-'Adheemul-Haleem, laa 'ilaaha 'illallaahu Rabbul-'Arshil-'Adheem, laa 'ilaaha 'illallaahu Rabbus-samaawaati wa Rabbul-'ardhi wa Rabbul-'Arshil-Kareem .
There is none worthy of worship but Allah the Mighty, the Forbearing. There is none worthy of worship but Allah, Lord of the Magnificent Throne. There is none worthy of worship but Allah, Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, and Lord of the Noble Throne.
Reference: Al-Bukhari 8/154, Muslim 4/2092

We all have good and bad days, that's how we are designed, but it's how you deal with the different situations in life that really matters.
When something good happens we say Alhamdulillah, when something bad happens we still say Alhamdulillah for Allah is reminding us that we worship Him alone and even though we may have made a mistake, He is bringing us back to Him through this test.
Whatever hardship we may be facing, if we are patient and truly believe that He is there for us, then what more do we need.
Never let your tongue and your mind stop remembering Allah and Praising Him.
Before you make a decision think, will it please or displease Allah (SWT)

Make that change today, don't wait until tomorrow, for who knows if we will even be here tomorrow, renew your intention, do plenty of Istigfar and return to Him.
Only He can forgive our sins and rectify our shortcomings. Never feel that you have done so much bad that He will never forgive you.
He is The Most Merciful and The Most Kind.
Just two of His beautiful names and attributes.
I ask Allah (SWT) to forgive all our mistakes, whether intentional or unintentional, place light in our hearts and our grave. Fill our hearts with Love for Him, make our deeds pleasing to Him alone and rectify our many, many shortcomings.
I love you for His sake and may he accept our simple efforts for His sake.
Any good is from Allah (SWT) and any mistake is from myself.

Fi aman Illah

A short beneficial reminder....x

Masha'Allah I just read this near the end of the Queens of Islam lecture. I don't know who wrote it but it's so beautiful: So I'm sending it to all my beautiful sisters....

The believing woman is never down for long. She is like a willow under a strong wind, she will bend to breaking point but will stay whole.
She'll sail sail against the tides and storms, she may get bruised from life, but she'll never give up.
Because she knows Allah will not give more than she can bear, she knows her worth and even if she is walked upon or laughed at, No one can take away her dignity, as her refuge is with Allah...Subhan'Allah....x

Are you up for a 12 for £1 challenge for Gaza....x

Do you like a challenge, or do you sit back and leave the hard work to everyone else.
This is a challenge you can do sitting down, on your phone or your computer.

When you woke up this morning, what intentions do you have?

So you've  prayed Fajr, read Quran and done your Adkar, are you satisfied that you have fulfilled your obligations for the morning?

What is your ultimate goal. Is it to have the latest phone or the best home. Are you satisfied with that, or would you like to invest in a place where you will have no needs, no desires for temporary pleasures.

Remember,

And spend something (in charity) out of the substance which We have bestowed on you, before Death should come to any of you and he should say, “O my Lord! Why didst Thou not give me respite for a little while? I should then have given (largely) in charity, and I should have been one of the doers of good.” But to no soul will Allah grant respite when the time appointed (for it) has come; and Allah is well-acquainted with (all) that ye do. (Al-Munafiqun 63:10-11)

Sadaqa should be given solely out of love for Allah (SWT), out of the desire to do good to His creation, as the Quran says about the righteousAnd they give food, inspite of their love for it (or for the love of Him), to Miskin (poor), the orphan, and the captive,

(Saying): "We feed you seeking Allah's Countenance only. We wish for no reward, nor thanks from you. 76:8-9.

We are in the process of supporting a family in Gaza, and with Allah's permission and your £1 we can make this possible. More details to follow Insha'Allah.

At Al-Huriyah Project we are always looking for different ways to raise funds purely for Allah's sake.
To please Him alone and to purify ourselves so that when we return to Him, we know that we have sent something to the next life that will benefit us in some way or another. With the hope that Allah will accept our  humble efforts and that it weigh heavy on our scales.

All you simply need to do is get just 12 family members or sisters to donate just £1 each.
What could be more simple?
It would take just 12 of us to ask this simple question to 12 friends to have a share of 12 months sadaqa.
That £1 they give will earn them the reward of sponsoring 3 Orphans, 5 E-Jaazah Students, 2 families in Morocco, a child with a serious blood disorder amongst many other beneficiaries.
The above are sponsored on a yearly basis bi ihdnIllah.

Don't miss out on this opportunity  of pleasing Allah, join us in our quest to help those less fortunate, it's the least we can do.

We are in the process of supporting a family in Gaza, with Allah's permission and your £1 donation we can make this happen.

Teach a man to fish, feed him for life....x

Have you ever heard of the above saying?

How often do you get the chance to buy 10 goats and donate them to farmers in Somalia?

By providing the breadwinner of a beleaguered family with goats and other livestock, families could Insha'Allah maintain an income for their continued survival, in what are extremely difficult times for the country.

Alhamdulillah via Ummah Welfare Trust we were blessed with donating enough to supply two farmers with 5 goats each.
Your £1 a week can make this possible with Allah's permission.

UWT spoke to Ahmed Mohamed Ibrahim from the town of Korow:

Q: What was the matter and how do now feel?
A: “Thanks to Allah, I am grateful to our brothers from the Ummah Welfare Trust together with Al- Huneyn for delivering the goats to us during this dry season.”
Q: How many goats have you been given?
A: “I have been given 5 goats.”
Q: What do you hope to do in the future?
A: “Thanks to Allah we are looking forward to keeping and looking after these goats. Inshallah they will reproduce after the rain comes. May Allah reward and give to those who have given us the goats. My conclusion is thanks to Allah.”

Ummah Welfare Trust guarantee 100% donation policy so when you contribute to Al-Huriyah sadaqa you can be assured that your donation is invested wisely Alhamdulillah.

Please donate just £1 a week and help bring a smile to so many. Via paypal to mekkaouis@yahoo.com

Who would support you if you couldn't walk...x

Subhan'Allah we received a request via a very dear sister I know to help a family in Tanzania.

A sister had a stroke two years prior to contacting us and she was unable to move and could not talk.
They were struggling financially and had no or very little income.
We sent her your sadaqa donations to help alleviate some of their hardship.

They were so overjoyed by our kindness that I received this text message from her son....

Assalaamu alaykum Sr Somayya.

My name is Ali. we have received all the money through sister F. May Allah reward all the sisters from Al-Huriyah for heping our Mum who had a stroke two years ago.

All her body was damaged and she cannot talk or do anything, she is flat disabled.
I don't know what to say but Allah will pay you all back. Alhamdulillaahi Raabilaalameen.

When you consider that most of the people who are sick etc do not have access to doctors and medicine so the children or family tend to be the only ones helping them. No time for school and especially no time for fun and games.

As much as I  always say, we prefer not to give money but, in some circumstances there is no other option.
Please be assured that the person receiving your donations are known to one of us at Al-Huriyah. We do not just hand over money to anyone who may ask.

Alhamdulillah we were also approached by another brother Mohammed from Rwanda.

He needed an operation for his back as he could not walk. The following is a text message we received from him.

Thanks to all the sisters and their families. May Allah make it a rewarding and blessed one to all of you.
May Allah give all of you Jannah Firdous, may Allah make us better and loving Muslims.
May He protect us from our enemies. Ameen.
Only Allah will reward you back, please pray for me. I wil let you know the outcome Insha'Allah.

When you receive a text from the person in need it is such a wonderful thing. It makes our efforts worthwhile  and we ask Allah alone to accept it from us and make it pleasing to Him alone. Ameen...x

Sewing For India and Wheels For Algeria...x

We provided a sister in India with a sewing machine to give her the opportunity to work and make enough to support herself.

Algerian Action were looking for donations towards buying a wheelchair for a brother.
Although we sometimes buy things outright, on this occasion it was just a small donation towards it. Alhamdulillah they raised enough in a few days...x

Your donation fi sabil Illah can help bring a smile to others who maybe have no other support.

Is your fridge costing or making you money....x

A dear sister I know is sponsoring an orphan in Mali.

The family  needed a fridge to make and store juice to sell. Thus giving her an income to support her family.
This is such a wonderful way of giving sadaqa instead of giving money which we try not to do.
As you know, if someone is living in dire circumstances and they have little or know money, then giving them money is only a temporary solution. Whereas, supplying them with something they can earn a living from is beneficial for them as they no longer need to rely on handouts and it makes them a much happier and productive member of society.
The picture is of the real fridge when it was delivered Alhamdulillah....x

Helping Out Your Fellow Brother/Sister

Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sa) said:
“A Muslim is a brother of (another) Muslim, he neither wrongs him nor does hand him over to one who does him wrong. If anyone fulfils his brother’s needs, Allah will fulfil his needs; if one relieves a Muslim of his troubles, Allah will relieve his troubles on the Day of Resurrection…” [Bukhari and Muslim].

Bwikya Masjid Uganda...x

The Management of the Bwikya Masjid and Muslim community would like to thank you and your friends from Al-Huriyah Sadaqa Project for the prayer mats that you donated to our Masjid.
We ask Allah to enable you to continue with the same spirit.
May Allah accept your deeds.
Allahumma Amin.
By Sheikh Musa (Hoima District Khadi)

We also provided four families in the same village with food fi sabil Illah.

E-Jaazah Student sponsorship....x

Sponsor a Student

What would you say if you had a chance to potentially earn good deeds night and day for the rest of your life and beyond? Would you be interested? If I told you that could be directly responsible for many Muslims learning their religion in countries you never even thought about, what would be your reaction? Would you be motivated to action? Maybe you would, maybe not. Maybe you would ask: “What would I get in return”? Well…what if you could choose from the list of items below, which would be the most attractive for you to receive as compensation for sponsoring a student for $8 a month?

A. A free T-Shirt with the Words “E-jaazah” written on it

B. A free coffee mug with matching handle

C. Both A and B

D. A potential reward from Allaah that can easily go into the millions of good deeds for many years to come

Which did you choose? Well…if you are still undecided, listen to this hadeeth below!
Abu Hurairah reported: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings upon him) said, “If anyone calls others to follow right guidance, his reward will be equivalent to those who follow him (in righteousness) without their reward being diminished in any respect. And if anyone invites others to follow error, the sin will be equivalent to that of the people who follow him (in sinfulness) without their sins being diminished in any respect.“ [Muslim]
This means, for example: Ahmad has good intentions regarding religion however he has no one in his town or village who has studied Islam in any detail, let alone teach him the basics. Muhammad joins E-jaazah’s sponsorship program. Muhammad spends $8 a month on Ahmad in Uganda to study his religion. For the first time Ahmad learns how to pray according to the sunnah of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings upon him). Therefore, Muhammad gets a reward each and every time Ahmad makes a raka’h or sujood for the rest of his life! But it doesn’t end there! Ahmad decided to teach what he learned in his local masjid and study circles. Throughout the years Ahmad has taught many what he learned, and Muhammad gets a reward for all of those who Ahmad taught and he never even met them. But it doesn’t end there! Luqman comes to the masjid and tells Ahmad he wants him to marry his daughter as he wants her to marry a religious man who will teach her well. They have children and they all learn from Ahmad and…well…you get the point. Muhammad continues to earn good deeds even though he long since has forgotten the $8 a month he used to send to E-jaazah.

E-jaazah.com has students in countries around the world and your good gesture can reach them in a matter of minutes. As well, If you like, you can correspond with your student yourself or we can monitor his or her progress and inform you of it. There is no set limit of time for your sponsorship and you can continue for as long or as short a period of time you would like.

The students of E-jaazah are studying arabic, Tafsir and Riyaah Ul Saliheen.

By donating just £1 pound a week you will share in the reward of all the students, also what they learn and convey and then what the next person learns and conveys and this is a sadaqa Jariyah for us and this will continue  until we face Allah (SWT) with His permission

Alhamdulillah Al-Huriyah are sponsoring 5 students fi sabil Illah....x

A new coat and shoes. Nothing to some and everything to others....x

All Praise is for Allah (SWT) alone. Without His intervention this would not be possible.

Masha'Allah we are now sponsoring our third Orphan.
She lives in Morocco and is being cared for by a sister.

Your donations and with outside help we managed to raise enough for a years sponsorship Alhamdulillah.
Her needs are met on a monthly basis for shoes, books, clothes etc.

Amongst other things, so far she has been bought a new coat and shoes.
To us this may seem trivial but to someone on a very low income this is a special thing Alhamdulillah.
How sad that one can buy and waste so much and another can benefit and appreciate the little that they do have Subhan'Allah.

Spending money on an orphan is something that is encouraged in particular. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “This money is fresh and sweet. Blessed is the wealth of the Muslim, from which he gives to the poor, the orphan and the wayfarer” or as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said it. Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 1465; Muslim, 1052.

Reach out for Sana....x

All praise is for Allah (SWT) alone.

For January and February 2001 your donations went to a special project in India.

A very dear friend of mine lost her sister to cancer and the family set up a charity in her name for Sana to benefit from Insha'Allah.

The charity is SRNQ Charity trust UK

http://sanaids.org/

With Allah's permission we were able to sponsor one persons driving lessons, once the course is complete the skills aquired will ensure a good job/source of income for one family Insha'Allah.

Secondly, such foods like rice, lentils fruits and meats were donated to an Orphanage. Children living there have a very basic and limited diet and they would love variety and treats.

And thirdly the majority of the sadaqa went towards installing a water pump, providing water for a community previously unable to have access to water on tap. This will be a means of sadaqa jariyah for us all bi ihdnIllah.

Please note: This is not the actual pump.

These posts are just an example of how so little can go so far with Allah's permission.
Never underestimate the little that we are doing fi sabil Illah.
Just £1 a week is all it will cost you Subhan'Allah

Aid Convoy To Syria....x

Subhan'Allah this is a true reality of the state of the Ummah in Syria and so many other Muslim Counties.

How sad to see this happening, all the while many Muslims are just carrying on with their everyday life and spare no thought for our Brothers, Sisters and Children who are being raped, murdered and tortured Subhan'Allah..

http://aidconvoy2syria.com/

Are currently in refugee camps in Turkey and other surrounding countries giving aid to those who are in such dire need. Please visit the site and donate as much as you can and encourage friends and family too.
Could you really face such hardships as our brothers and sisters and still remain steadfast on the deen.
This is a major test for these people and only Allah can give them strength to see it through. But with your help and donations maybe this will bring them closer to Allah and give them some relief from such atrocities.
Never underestimate the power of dua and also never think that what we give, even though it may be small , will be waiting for you in the next life. The only place you will really need it Subhan'Allah,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GE6En9e7dew  May Allah give ease to our brothers, sisters and children who are oppressed and tortured all over the world. Ameen

Your donations to Al-Huriyah helped us to buy tinned food such as Tuna, Beans, Soups, Tinned Fruit, Cerelac etc and also donations of clothes and money from outside sisters too Masha'Allah.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
Allah (mighty and sublime be He) will say on the Day of Resurrection:
O son of Adam,
I fell ill and you visited Me not.
He will say:
O Lord, and how should I visit You when You are the Lord of the worlds?
Allah will say:
Did you not know that My servant So-and-so had fallen ill and you visited him not?
Did you not know that had you visited him you would have found Me with him?

O son of Adam,
I asked you for food and you fed Me not.
He will say:
O Lord, and how should I feed You when You are the Lord of the worlds?
Allah will say:
Did you not know that My servant So-and-so asked you for food and you fed him not?
Did you not know that had you fed him you would surely have found that (the reward for doing so) with Me?

O son of Adam,
I asked you to give Me to drink and you gave Me not to drink. He will say:
O Lord, how should I give You to drink whin You are the Lord of the worlds?
Allah will say:
My servant So-and-so asked you to give him to drink and you gave him not to drink. Had you given him to drink you would have surely found that with Me.
It was related by Muslim.

How Is Your Relationship With The Quran?....x

Do you have a better relationship with the TV than with the Book Of Allah (SWT).
How often do you open His book and recite and ponder over it's many, many beneficial lessons?

Your donations helped to distribute Complete Quran Cd's recited by Sa'ad Al-Ghamdi

When you find your self in happy situations, of if you are facing hardships in life, who do you turn to?

Fortress of the Muslim is a very beneficial dua book for all occasions in your life, whether happy or sad.
Your donations helped us to send many sisters from USA, West Indies, Malaysia, UK, and other far away countries a copy of this dua book.

When your out shopping or at work, do you know the correct direction for salat?

Each sister also received this small compass that can be kept in your bag.

Ask yourself this question.

Is there dust on your Quran? If so, then there's probably dust on your heart. Wipe it clean by prioritising your day. Pray Fajr on time, open, recite and reflect on the beautiful words of Allah (SWT) and see how much more productive your life will be.
If you are a person who does/doesn't pray on time and also does not read Quran from one week to the next, then you really need to plan your day better, before someone else is making plans for your janazah, only then, you will regret it.
Life has become so busy with too many distractions that some of us wake up and start the day with duniya matters. What excuse will you have for neglecting your duty to the One who created you.

Please watch this short vodeo and then reflect on your real relationship with the Quran, if you have one....

How Much Did You Spend On Your Last Pair Of Shoes....x

How much do you spend on your shoes? How much do we waste on worldly items that  either end up in the bin or thrown in the bottom of your wardrobe, never to be used again.

This picture is a stark reality of life for so many.
Imagine how uncomfortable these ''shoes'' must be.
Your generous donations paid for five new pairs of shoes with plenty left over for many more Alhamdulillah.

Shoes are not a luxury, they are a necessity which for us would be impossible to be without. Imagine walking around your hometown with two plastic bottles tied to your feet, or turning up to school/work like this.

Unfortunately I arranged for pictures to be taken of the shoes that were purchased in Morocco but the sisters camera broke at the time when they bought  so I will make sure that they take some when the next batch are bought Bi'IdhnIllah.
