A blanket for just £1.50.

Update 21-04-13
This is my dear friend/sr's parents presenting the families with the blankets that your donations paid for Alhamdulillah.

Update 15th Nov 2012.

Jazak'Allah Khair to all who donated to the blanket project. Alhamdulillah as you know we raised enough for 100 so far. Please note: the first batch of blankets have been distributed this week Alhamdulillah, anymore donations received from now on will be set aside for the next batch. I don't know exactly when that will be so please be aware when donating.

Update 12th November 2012.

Alhamdulillah so have we have purchased 100 blankets that are being distributed this week. Some have been given out already as the weather in Lucknow in India is very cold and will be even colder in Dec/Jan. These blankets are given mainly to the elderly and children who are poverty stricken Subhan'Allah. A simple blanket can keep them warm, all the while you are being made dua for from those recipients, and Allah is rewarding you for giving for His sake.

£1.50 each Subhan'Allah that's all you need to give to keep a poor person warm this winter.

This is an picture from India this week, imagine having no heating or warm clothes or blankets etc. Please donate just £1.50 above and we will have them distributed to the most needy Insha'Allah..

All Praise is for Allah alone.

Now that the days are getting shorter and colder, please remember those who have no real home let alone central heating. Yes our gas charges may be rising, and things are becoming tougher by the day. But at least we are fortunate enough to have the things we do. Having a real roof over our head is a blessing from Allah.

The above charity was set up by a very dear family I know after losing their daughter/sister to cancer in 2007 aged just 22.
By donating just £1.50 via Paypal above this will enable them to purchase a blanket on your behalf and distribute it to those who are in need in Lucknow, India.
What can we really buy here now for £1.50? Nothing much at all, but we could help to keep someone warm during the winter months approaching.
Please do give whatever amount you are able fi sabilIllah as we never know where the good lies in what we do so please don't miss this chance.

£1 for 10 days for a widow in Morocco...x

Update 29/11/12

Alhamdulillah we are now in a position to help this sister from Morocco on a regular monthly basis. As I mentioned, she has a small cleaning job but barely makes enough to support herself and children. Please continue to give as regular as you are able so we can keep this ongoing as long as possible bi ihdnIllah.
May Allah reward you all for helping us support the people that we do fi sabilIllah.

Firstly All Praise is for Allah The Most Merciful the Most Kind. Without His permission our efforts are not possible.

As we all know, tomorrow (Wed 17th Oct) will be the start of the most blessed 10 days of the year Insha'Allah.
We are each giving just £1 a day throughout these 10 special days, to give a widowed sister some relief from the hardship she is facing.

Among the special seasons of worship are the first ten days of Dhu’l-Hijjah, which Allaah has preferred over all the other days of the year. Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allaah than these ten days." The people asked, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allaah?" He said, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allaah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing." (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 2/457).

Allah has blessed us with so many provisions that we sometimes fail to appreciate them. Alhamdulillah we have food, clean water, heating and electric amongst many other everyday things. We may see pictures of many families in need all over the world and feel sorry for them but do we really make an effort to try and change their lives. Imagine the hardship of having children and not knowing when or how we will provide the basic needs for them. Having no food to make breakfast when they awake, let alone lunch and dinner Subhan'Allah. We know of a widowed sister in Morocco who has 3 children to care and provide for since the death of her Husband approximately 2 years ago. They live in a shanty town and have  very little help from others. The sister cleans houses to make a minimal amount to survive. With the winter months fast approaching and we are able to turn on our luxurious central heating, they will be spending the winter months in a small wooden/tin hut for a house. Alhamdulillah they at least have this but imagine how cold it must be, how unsafe for a Mother to live in this situation. How hard it must be to not have enough food to provide for your family.
Please join us and give as much as your able for Allah's sake and lets help give them a special Eid, and a life where they will not have to rely on handouts from others and a life of security, knowing there are others out there who truly care for each other. Please make your sincere intention and click on donate today. I say today as we do not know if we will survive to see tomorrow. Let's not miss out on an opportunity to do good for His sake.

This is not the real picture but as similar as I can get until I get some pictures of the sisters situation as soon as possible Insha'Allah

"So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it,
And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom, shall see it."
[al-Zalzalah 99:7-8]

There is much to be gained, so make the most of the opportunity afforded by these invaluable and irreplaceable ten days. Hasten to do good works, before death strikes, before one can regret one’s negligence and failure to act, before one is asked to return to a place where no prayers will be answered, before death intervenes between the hopeful one and the things he hopes for, before you are trapped with your deeds in the grave.
O you whose hard heart is as dark as the night, is it not time that your heart was filled with light and became soft? Expose yourself to the gentle breeze of your Lord’s mercy during these ten days, for Allaah will cause this breeze to touch whomever He wills, and whoever is touched by it will be happy on the Day of Judgement. May Allaah bless our Prophet Muhammad and all his Family and Companions.

Sadaqa distribution for September 2012...x

All praise is for Allah The Most Forgiving The Most Merciful.

Alhamdulillah we now have the report on our latest Orphan in Sudan. Her name is Esra and she is 12 years old.

Masha'Allah tabarak'Allah we are so blessed to have the opportunity to sponsor another Orphan, please continue to donate on a regular basis so we may continue to support Esra and her family until she is self sufficient Insha'Allah.

Righteousness is not that you turn your faces toward the east or the west, but [true] righteousness is [in] one who believes in Allah , the Last Day, the angels, the Book, and the prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask [for help], and for freeing slaves; [and who] establishes prayer and gives zakah; [those who] fulfill their promise when they promise; and [those who] are patient in poverty and hardship and during battle. Those are the ones who have been true, and it is those who are the righteous. 2:177

As you know we have been sponsoring Muhammed and Alaa from Gaza since 2010 so our first priority is to them and our other Orphans, the two needy families in Morocco and the Palestinian sister with cancer.

We will also be donating a monthly amount to the new school build in Bangladesh Insha'Allah.

We are also in the process of raising funds for another deep water well. This one will be in Yemen Insha'Allah. You can donate directly to Human Appeal International on my Just Giving page here:

I was asked by a dear sister of mine to help raise funds for a sister living in Saudi Arabia. She has water on the Lungs and has no means to pay for the treatment needed. Unless you are a Saudi citizen then your treatment has to be paid for, and to make matters worse, they will not treat the sister until she pays for it, which is around £830.So far Alhamdulillah we have £180 but need to raise the rest as soon as possible. Please click on donate at the top of the page and give whatever is within your means fi sabilIllah.

http://solaceuk.org/      is another organisation close to my heart. They provide a service to help revert sisters who are facing hardship in many ways. We always try to give a small amount to them each month to help where most needed.

I am adding these two short videos again to give us all a boost. To learn an important lesson that giving is much better than taking. Not just with money but with your time, possessions and wisdom.

The Prophet (pbuh) said, “Every Muslim has to give in charity.” The people asked,
“O Allah’s Prophet! If someone has nothing to give, what will he do?” He said, “He
should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in charity (from what
he earns).” The people further asked, “If he cannot find even that?” He replied,
“He should help the needy who appeal for help.” Then the people asked, “If he
cannot do that?” He replied, “Then he should perform good deeds and keep away
from evil deeds and this will be regarded as charitable deeds.” (Bukhari #2.524)

May Allah reward you all for your continuous support to help us to help those who need it fi sabilIllah.

Fi amanIllah...x
