Update 28th Apr 2013

Alhamdulillah we have paid for our second Tube Well. Jazakum'Allahu Khairan to everyone for your kind donations. I will add the actual picture once it's built bi ihdnIllah. We are now collecting donations for Tube Well number 3.

Assalaamu alaykum,

For just a £2 donation you can help to provide 3-4 families with fresh clean water for around 10 years Subhan'Allah.

We are now raising money for our second tube well which will benefit many people over the years to come.
Yes we can turn on the tap at home and drink as much as we like Alhamdulillah but, so many cannot and what better way to donate than this. Imagine how much easier you are making it for many people to have access to something we think nothing of on a daily basis, let alone thanking Allah for a blessing we literally cannot live without. Out of desperation, so many families are drinking unsafe/unclean water just to survive.
We are paying for the tube well through Muslim Hands and Alhamdulillah we have so far collected over £100 in just a few hours.
Please give just £2 to share in this project by clicking on the donate button above.

Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky and makes it flow as springs [and rivers] in the earth; then He produces thereby crops of varying colors; then they dry and you see them turned yellow; then He makes them [scattered] debris. Indeed in that is a reminder for those of understanding.39:21

The £5 post for Morocco and Gambia.

Update 3-5-13

Alhamdulillah we managed to gather £166 for the nets which will enable them to buy approx 55 new nets to distribute to many families Insha'Allah. Jazakum'Allahu Khairan. Someone will travel to Gambia on the 5th May and will pass the donations to the sister Insha'Allah.

Update 3.52pm.

Alhamdulillah in just a few hours we have enough for the commode which I just purchased online and also paid for 10 nets so far with donations still coming in for nets. We cannot take anymore donations for the commode but the nets will continue Insha'Allah. May Allah accept our efforts for His sake. Ameen

Assalaamu alaykum,

The £5 post is a small project to raise funds for a brother in Morocco who has suffered a stroke Subhan'Allah. Imagine the difficulty for him firstly and also for his wife. She is finding it very difficult to manage to carry him to the toilet so a commode would make things less stressful for them both Insha'Allah.
All we are asking is for 14 people to give just £2 so that we may purchase this on his behalf. This will be taken to Morocco by van and the driver has agreed to take it for free Tabarak'Allah.
Please make your intention to give purely for Allah's sake and your reward is with Him alone.

This is the commode we want to purchase as it can be folded when not in use to save space. I will add a picture of the new commode once purchased bi ihdnIllah.

Alhamdulillah here it is  23-04-13

25-04-13
Alhamdulillah 43 nets paid for so far

There is also a sr who has been buying and distributing mosquito nets to families in Gambia.
Alhamdulillah they are used to put around the bed to stop the risk of being bitten by a mosquito which, as you may know can cause malaria which can lead to eventual death Subhan'Allah. These cost just £3 each.
Your £3 could potentially save someones life by using these much needed nets. Simple but effective.

£2 for a commode and £3 for a net. Just £5 to help those who have little or no access to such things which we find so easy to purchase Subhan'Allah.

Click on the donate button above fi sabil Illah.

A sister with cancer needs your support asap.

Update: 14th April 2013

Alhamdulillah the sr has now had her operation to remove the tumor in her throat and is in recovery. I will keep you updated with her progress as soon as I get news Insha'Allah.
Please remember her and the family in your duas. We raised £400 through your kind donations.

Assalaamu alaykum,

Subhan'Allah, a few years ago cancer was something that seemed at the time to be hereditary. Maybe we even knew someone who had cancer, but  now it seems that we can almost guarantee that we know someone very close who has survived it or returned to Allah. Either way it's a very testing time for everyone involved, especially the one who is suffering. Pain after pain, tears, treatment, hospitals, the list is endless.

As difficult as it is if, like me, you are living in the West then in that way we are very fortunate Alhamdulillah.
Having cancer is not fortunate but having access to free treatment is. For whatever reason when we are ill then help is only a phone call away.
Yes we may have to wait an hour or a few days to see the doctor but when you consider how much hardships so many face around the world who have no access to such luxuries then we should thank Allah everyday for everything.

When I first reverted many years ago, Allah blessed me with a very special sister and her family who lived beside us. She helped me with any need that I had. Masha'Allah we became very close and even writing this brings tears to my eyes just thinking of her. She became very sick and they discovered that she had Leukemia. Sadly she returned to Allah and at the time I was upset as they had moved far away and I didn't get the time to visit her before that, but now I realise it was better as I can remember her for the beauty that she had and not seeing her with no hair and with tubes going into her body etc. Alhamdulillah I still keep in touch with the family as she had 6 beautiful children who I miss dearly but haven't seen for around 15 years Subhan'Allah and even though it was a relatively short friendship ( in this life) it was a part of my journey that will stay in my heart until I myself return to Allah.
I always ask Allah to renunite us together with our families and may He grant our wishes to be side by side as we were in this temporary life. Ameen.

The reason for this appeal is that I know a sister in my community who's Aunty has a tumor on the throat.
As you can imagine she is in so much pain and they would like to remove the tumor to stop the risk of spreading but, the Aunty lives in Egypt. They have no access to free treatment for this and the family is working very hard to find the £5000 to fund this much needed operation but because it's such a large amount they are finding it difficult. As I said, we are very fortunate that we do not have to pay so I am asking for donations to help ease their urgent need.

On the authority of Abu Hurairah (Radhiallaho anha) that the Prophet (Sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said:

“Whosoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Judgment. Whosoever alleviates [the lot of] a needy person, Allah will alleviate [his lot] in this world and the next. Whosoever shields a Muslim, Allah will shield him in this world and the next. Allah will aid a slave [of His] so long as the slave aids his brother. Whosoever follows a path to seek knowledge therein, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. No people gather together in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, but tranquillity and peace descends upon them, mercy envelopes them, the angels surround them, and Allah makes mention of them amongst those who are with Him. And whosoever is slowed down by his actions will not be hastened forward by his lineage.”

Related by Muslim in these words.

As we know, giving sadaqa fi sabil Illah does not decrease our wealth, infact it increases it. Please give any amount you are able by donating via Paypal to mekkaouis@yahoo.com. You can click on the Paypal button above right to make this easier.
Who knows (but Allah) that this appeal could be the one deed that you will need on a day when we will wish that we helped everyone who asked instead of worrying that we will be left with little money Subhan'Allah. Please share too so that others become aware of this families need.

Remember 'Don't let Hasanaat pass you by'

I ask Allah from my heart to firstly guide all my family to His perfect deen, cure all the sick believers , release all the oppressed and forgive us all for our shortcomings, accept our sadaqa and purify us from sins and return to Him free from shirk and disbelief at a time that He is pleased with us. Ameen

Sadaqa distribution for February and March.

Assalaamu alaykum wa Rahmatulaahi wa Barakatu.

Update 3rd April

We were fortunate to purchase two tickets for the Sabeel course coming up in May 'Home Sweet Broken Home'. Two dear sisters will be attending this course and will give us some feedback to let us know how they benefited.

Alhamdulillah with your kind donations we have managed to cover our monthly commitments.
Our two monthly orphans from Gaza, a Palestinian sister with cancer, a widowed sister in Gambia, a child in India with a serious blood disorder and our 5 families in Morocco.
The majority of those who receive our help have to spend most of their sadaqa to pay for their monthly medication which is a necessity.
That's why your £1 a week donation is vital as without it we cannot afford to support the families that we do.

We also raised enough so far for 10 fruit trees and 1 Olive tree. As you know this will, bi ihdnillah be counted as a sadaqa jariyah

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); knowledge which is beneficial; or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (the deceased).” [Sahih Muslim]

Jabir (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, “When a Muslim plants a tree, whatever is eaten from it is charity from him and whatever is stolen is charity and whatever is subtracted from it is charity”.[Hadith-Muslim].

These are just some of the certificates so far as we are waiting for the newest ones for the 11 trees Alhamdulillah.

The two sewing machines are an excellent gift opportunity as this will enable the user to provide for their family from the proceeds and the chickens also, as this will be an ongoing income for the families Insha'Allah.

Also we will have news of the tube well as soon as this is available. Your donations made it possible for us to have a tube well built in a community which will supply fresh clean water for 3 families for around 10 years.

From the five families we are supporting in Morocco, unfortunately one of them below we can only support every few months. They are living in very poor conditions. One son has had part of his leg amputated and another son has severe learning disabilities and spends most of his time in bed. The mother is a widow and sadly we do not have the means to help them on a regular basis. Some months we are able to give them an income and some sadly we are not. As you can see, they also need  regular medication amongst the usual everyday needs but we cannot always guarantee  to provide this. This is why I am urging you to please encourage others to join us. All they need to give is just £4 a month. Imagine, when you encourage others to good, you share in the reward of everything they give Subhan'Allah.

And lastly but by no means the least we managed to raise £462 for a sister who had no financial income and was struggling to provide even the basic needs for her children. We ask Allah to facilitate all her needs and ease any hardship she may be facing. Ameen

£1 a week is all it takes fi sabil Illah.

Remember that it is only with Allah's permission that this whole project is made possible. He is Al-Kareem.

I thank Allah first and foremost for giving us the opportunities to help those who need support and I thank every single one of you for your kindness and generosity in supporting this project.

Please remember us all in your sincere duas and continue to donate on a regular basis so that we may continue to give some relief to so many. Alhamdulillah for everything that Allah gives and for what He withholds.

Any good is from Allah The Most Merciful and any mistakes are from myself.

One off donations can be via Paypal above or please email me for bank details for a regular £4 a month payment.

Jazakum'Allahu Khairan for reading, please share with all
