Inna lilaahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon

Assalaamu alaykum wa Rahma tulaahi wa Barakatu.

Sadly, I just found out yesterday that the sister in Palestine with cancer whom we have been sponsoring has returned to Allah.
She would travel to Jordan for her treatment although being very sick and in a lot of pain.
Subhan'Allah she left behind 5 children, one of them being unwell too. I was asked yesterday if we will still be supporting them with a monthly income. Of course I said yes as I feel they will need it even more now.
Money will not bring them any happiness but, at least it will take away some of the pressure of living in need.
May Allah forgive the sister her sins, may her illness be a purification for them. May He make her grave spacious and full of light and may He raise her to Jannah Firdous and reunite her with her familly too. Ameen

A Reminder

I took this from Mission Islam

Death is a harsh and fearful reality faced by everyone who lives. No one has the power to avoid it, nor does anyone around the dying person have the ability to prevent it.
It is something, which happens every moment and is encountered by the old and the young, the rich and the poor, the strong and the weak. They are all the same because there is no plan or means of escaping it, no power, no means of intercession, no way to prevent it, nor to delay it, which shows that indeed it comes from One having tremendous power - so that the human is helpless in this regard and can only submit to it.
So in Allah’s hand alone is the granting of life, and in His hand is the return of what He gave at the appointed time, and after the allotted life span, whether the people are in their houses amongst their families, or striving to seek provision or striving for Aqeedah (correct belief). Reward and recompense are with Him, and He has full knowledge and power.
So the return of all is to Allah, and they will be raised up before Him, having no place of return except that, and no destiny but this one.
The only difference between people will be their deeds and intentions. But, with regard to their physical death, then it is one, death at the appointed time after the decreed span, and resurrection on the Day of Gathering of mankind when we will all face Allah. Then Forgiveness and Mercy, or His displeasure and punishment will be dealt out justly according to His will.
As Allah says in the Qur’an:
"Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing)."
(Qur'an Al-Imran 3:185)

2:45
Sahih International
And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah ]

2:46
Sahih International
Who are certain that they will meet their Lord and that they will return to Him. 2:45-46

As I said, we will still be supporting this family with a monthly income so please continue to give fi sabilIllah and your reward is with Him alone. All Praise is for Him alone and without His permission we are in no position to do anything.
Jazakum'Allahu Khairan to you all

Free Revert Ramadhan pack shipped to anywhere in the world

Update 23-06-13

Alhamdulillah these are the packs, nearly ready to be sent fi sabilIllah

Sorry but I don't wish to show the contents until they have been distributed and received Insha'Allah

Alhamdulillah these were the packs. They went to the UK, America and Denmark.

Assalaamu alaykum

I remember my very first Ramadhan nearly 18 years ago Subhan'Allah and just how lonely it was.
My Husband was away, I had three young children and didn't know at the time that Ramadhan could be either 29 or 30 days as no one told me. On the day I thought it was Eid, I dressed up the children, not really knowing where to go and headed for the bus. We had little money and I remember boarding the bus to be told that I would have to pay for 1 or 2 of the children (I can't remember exactly)
I didn't have enough so had to get back off the bus, upset and very embarassed.
I took the children home and cried for a while.
Although that was a long time ago I still remember it and even now my children are all grown Masha'Allah I still personally find it a little lonely. Alhamdulillah Allah has blessed me with my Husband and our 5 children but because my Husband had no family here before we used to go for Eid salat and at the end see lots of people going to their in laws or their families, spending the whole day with them and having fun. It has never been a jealous feeling Subhan'Allah just a sad one.
Masha'Allah Tabarak'Allah since embracing Allah has given me the strength to deal with situations to the best of my ability and that has made me a much stronger person in many ways.
Now I feel is the time to help someone else who may be facing such difficulties. I have read many horror stories from Facebook etc about how lonely reverts can find Ramadhan esp Eid and how, unfortunatley some 'Muslims' treat reverts. Being told they are not 'real Muslims' or being shunned for not being the same race as most of the people in the mosque.
Shame on anyone who does treat their brother or sister in such a manner and may they seek forgiveness from Allah and may He grant them forgiveness.
We will be making up a few Revert Ramadhan Packs which will just be a simple pack with some dates, dua book and a few small goodies with a gift to give them a boost and make them feel part of this beautiful deen of Allah.
If you would like to donate a small amount of if you have a small gift that you would like to include in these packs please email myself at mekkaouis@yahoo.com.
We have very limited funds so if you have anything to give could I kindly request that you are happy to pay the postage to send it to me fi sabil Illah.
When the packs are ready I will be more than happy to pay the postage to anywhere in the world, so if you are or you know of any revert anywhere in the world who could benefit froma free pack please email me with the details asap.
We need to start making up the packs asap so please give fi sabilLlah as soon as your able.
If you would like to make a donation please do so via Paypal to mekkaouis@yahoo.com

I will add any pictures as soon as they are ready Insha'Allah

Jazakum'Allahu Khairan

Small but beneficial reminders

2:185

The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. 2:185

Alhamdulillah for free healthcare, school fees and enough food Subhan'Allah

Assalaamu alaykum,

Alhamdulillah we have had a letter from our sister Fatou in Gambia.
We have been supporting her financially and it has made a huge difference to her and her children in terms of education for her children by paying her school fees, being able to pay her rent, study fees, fish money and healthcare Subhan'Allah. Living how we do, most of us reading this either have free access to the above or pay but still have the options available. We are all aware of the needs of so many families around the world and on our own doorsteps but are we doing enough to help them Subhan'Allah.
All we ask is for a donation of just £4 a month to give us the income to help those who have no other or very little in the way of support. This project is tiny compared to many of the large charities around but our passion to help those is endless. We have a personal care for each indiviual and will be with them as long as Allah permits.
Fatou wrote this to thank you all and to also ask that we continue to give so that the burden of poverty be relieved from them

This is sr Fatou and two of her three children and a heartfelt letter to you all.
My friend this morning told me that when she went on a recent visit to Gambia Fatou was looking so much better healthwise as at one stage she was coughing up blood.
Please continue to give fi sabil Illah so we may continue to support.

This is a very short video I came across today which is very inspirational in terms of giving fi sabilIllah

Fi amanIllah

Reported by Abu Huraira (RA): Allah’s Apostle (peace be upon him) said, ‘If one gives in charity what equals one date-fruit from the honestly-earned money and Allah accepts only the honestly earned money, Allah takes it in His right (hand) and then enlarges its reward for that person (who has given it), as anyone of you brings up his baby horse, so much so that it becomes as big as a mountain.

(Bukhari)

Imagine, when you give from halal means and purely for Allah sake, He takes it in His right hand and enlarges it Subhan'Allah

35 people needed to give just £2 for our third Tube Well Insha'Allah

Assalaamu alaykum wa Rahmatulaahi wa Barakatu.
All praise is for Allah The Most High The Most Forgiving

Update 19-10-13

Allahu Akbar, this is our first ever Tube Well built and in action Alhamdulillah.

Update 8th June 2013
Alhamdulillah we did it fi sabilIllah. We just paid for our third Tube Well. May Allah accept it from all those who gave or had the intention to give. Will add pics once built Insha'Allah which usually takes around three months.

Alhamdulillah we are now collecting for our third Tube Well. So far we have £90 so have a shortfall of just £70.
We need 35 people to give just £2 each to make this possible bi' IhdnIllah. Please give and share too so that you may also share in the reward of anyone else who gives from your sharing.

57:20

Know that the life of this world is but amusement and diversion and adornment and boasting to one another and competition in increase of wealth and children - like the example of a rain whose [resulting] plant growth pleases the tillers; then it dries and you see it turned yellow; then it becomes [scattered] debris. And in the Hereafter is severe punishment and forgiveness from Allah and approval. And what is the worldly life except the enjoyment of delusion.

57:21

Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty. 57:20-21

I like to add the English meaning of the Quran purely for us to benefit from the words. It's not to to sway anyone into giving, that comes from Allah. I just find the words so beneficial for many reasons, even when it is in English it's a beautiful reminder for us all.

Jazakum'Allahu Khairan to you all for your continued support, May Allah accept it and may it be a means for us to reunite in Jannah Firdous. Ameen
